Continuation of Teaching and Learning
Earlier this year we changed the way we provide our teaching to include remote distanced learning following government advice regarding social distancing. This meant that apprentices were able to continue their classes online, through Google Classroom and Hangouts and their Onefile portfolio.
As apprentices have returned to work, we are reengaging with them in the workplace either remotely via video conferencing or face-to-face, depending upon individual circumstances. Apprentices may also now be requested to attend college for practical lessons and assessments where these are pre-agreed days and times, offering a truly blended learning experience to our learners.
Although the government is reviewing current restrictions, we believe the safety of our students, employers and employees is of paramount importance, therefore we will continue to deliver via this blended model for 20/21.
Employers who take on a new apprentice with a contract start date between the 1st August 2020 and 31st January 2021 are eligible for a grant of up to £2,000 per apprentice.
The grant must be applied for through the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) and will be paid directly to the employer in two equal instalments – the first at day 90 and the second instalment at day 365 of employment.
We can support you accessing these grants, if you’d like more information please contact our team at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01709 513147 or 01909 504777.
Throughout these changing times it is important that you engage with us directly to ensure your apprentice stays on track and receives the support they need. If you have any questions regarding the accessing of programmes or your apprentice progress please contact us on 01709 513147 or email@example.com
