Armed Forces Covenant
Our Commitment to the Armed Forces Community
RNN Group is proud to be a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, reinforcing our commitment to supporting serving personnel, veterans, reservists, military families, and cadet force adult volunteers.
As one of the region’s leading education and training providers, we believe that those who serve, or have served, in the Armed Forces deserve recognition for their contribution to society. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where members of the Armed Forces community can access opportunities to learn, develop and succeed without disadvantage.

What is the Armed Forces Covenant?
The Armed Forces Covenant is a national promise that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect.
It encourages organisations across the UK to recognise the value that the Armed Forces community brings and to ensure that they are not disadvantaged in their everyday lives because of their service.
Thousands of employers, charities, educational institutions and public sector organisations have signed the Covenant, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community.

Why It Matters
Members of the Armed Forces develop a wealth of transferable skills, including leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, resilience and adaptability. These qualities enrich workplaces, classrooms and communities.
Many veterans also choose to retrain or gain new qualifications as they transition into civilian careers. As an education provider, RNN Group is committed to ensuring that learners from the Armed Forces community have access to high-quality education, skills development and career opportunities.
We also recognise the important role played by reservists, military spouses and partners, and the families who support those serving their country.

Our Commitment
By signing the Armed Forces Covenant, RNN Group has pledged to:
- Promote understanding and awareness of the Armed Forces Covenant throughout our organisation.
- Support current and former members of the Armed Forces community through fair and inclusive recruitment, employment and development practices.
- Recognise the valuable skills, experience and attributes that veterans and reservists bring to our workforce.
- Support employees who are reservists or cadet force adult volunteers wherever reasonably possible.
- Ensure that members of the Armed Forces community are treated fairly and are not disadvantaged when accessing employment, education or training opportunities.
- Build positive relationships with Armed Forces organisations, employers and community partners to strengthen support across the region.
Supporting Our Learners, Staff and Communities
At RNN Group, we are committed to creating opportunities that enable people from all backgrounds to achieve their ambitions. By becoming a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant, we are strengthening our commitment to inclusion, widening participation and supporting those who have dedicated themselves to serving our country.
Whether you are leaving military service, looking to develop new skills, seeking employment, or supporting a family member in the Armed Forces, we are committed to providing a welcoming and supportive environment where you can thrive.
We look forward to continuing to develop our support for the Armed Forces community and working with partners to ensure that our commitment translates into meaningful opportunities for learners, colleagues and the wider community.
