Shirley Collier MBE
Governor and Member of the Audit and Risk Committee
Shirley joined the board in August 2021. She currently works as an Executive Coach and consultant, both within and beyond the education sector. Her particular areas of expertise are leadership development, governance and project and programme evaluation.
She joins the Group with a wealth of experience having formerly been; CEO at Scarborough Museums Trust, Deputy Director of Collections at the Imperial War Museum, Governor and Chair at York College (2014-2020) and a National Leader of Governance for the DfE (2018-2020)
She has extensive governance experience spanning a range of settings including public sector, private sector, charities, cathedrals and colleges. She was awarded an MBE for services to Further Education in the 2021 New Year’s Honours list’
