RNN Group Celebrates World Mental Health Day 2024

RNN Group is proud to join the global community in recognising World Mental Health Day on 10th October 2024.

Set by the World Federation for Mental Health, this year’s theme is “It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace”, highlighting the urgent need to address mental wellbeing in professional environments.

Understanding Burnout

As we observe World Mental Health Day, it’s crucial to shine a light on one of the most pressing challenges affecting modern workplaces: burnout. In today’s fast-paced world, chronic stress is becoming all too common, leading to burnout, which impacts not only individual wellbeing but also the health of entire organisations.

Burnout is a gradual process that can creep up unnoticed, making it essential for employers and employees alike to recognise its early signs. By addressing this issue, we can create healthier, more resilient workplaces where mental wellbeing is prioritised.

Supporting Our Staff

At RNN Group, we are committed to fostering a culture of wellbeing. As part of this commitment, staff can take one Health and Wellbeing Day per year.

From September 2023 to August 2024, we saw 369 staff members participate in activities aimed at improving their mental and physical health.

Here are some key figures:

74 Enjoyed a family day out
86 Participated in general activities
80 Socialised with friends
42 Visited a spa or enjoyed a treatment
79 Went for a walk or hike

Get Involved

On this year’s World Mental Health Day, we encourage everyone to come together and talk about mental health.

Whether it’s checking in with colleagues, friends, or family, starting the conversation can help us navigate life’s challenges more effectively.

Your Voice Matters

At RNN Group, we’re always looking for ways to improve our support for staff wellbeing.

To this end, we’ve placed Health and Wellbeing Suggestion Boxes at each of our College sites:

We invite all staff to share their ideas for creating a healthier work environment.

Together, we can continue to foster a work culture where mental health is a priority.
