GCSE Results Day and What Next?
This week is GCSE results week and we know how nerve wracking this is for learners who have worked so hard over the last two years.
There are so many options available for school leavers as they continue their educational journey. Here at the RNN Group – throughout our campuses Rotherham College, North Notts College and Dearne Valley College – we offer a huge choice of courses for learners.
Courses offered at our Colleges
The Group through its Colleges offers Level 1 to Level 3 courses as well as BTECs, Apprenticeships and T Levels (including Foundation level) in a whole range of subjects .
Rotherham College
Based in the heart of Rotherham’s town centre, Rotherham College specialises in Construction (with a brand new four-million-pound centre), Health, Childcare, Hair and Beauty, the Creative Arts, Performing Arts, Business, Catering and Hospitality as well as career focused training and education including T Levels and Apprenticeships.
The College’s latest and incredibly popular course – BTEC Aviation – launched two years ago includes the opportunity for some real world flying experience as well as simulators for additional support.
Dearne Valley College
Located to the North of Rotherham, Dearne Valley College specialises in Animal Care and Land-based Industries, Esports and Sports as well as Motor Vehicle, Protective Services and the Caring Professions.
It has incredible facilities across the site including a MUGA, sports centre, low ropes course as well as access to the local Manvers Lake outdoor site.
North Notts College
North Notts College is the provider of choice in the Bassetlaw region for a wide range of technical education – with a brand new T Level centre opening for students next month – development of specialist skills and a career focused approach across three main provisions: Creative Industries, Sustainability, Technology and Education, Care and Protective Services.
Across all our Colleges
Not only that, all three Colleges offer support with retaking Maths and English GCSE whilst you are starting your new course as well as Flexible Learning support for learners that need additional support with their learning.
College life is also an important part of the experience, and with clubs, activities and trips for learners to enjoy and develop personal and professional skills, as well as health, care and wellbeing support and your educational journey is complete at the RNN Group.
In addition, the Colleges provide a bus service for learners to access and this year the prices remain the same as last! We can also provide cost of living and financial support and advice for learners too.
Finally, we offer careers support for all prospective and current learners as we know that 75% of school leavers don’t know what they want to do for a career.
