Get exam ready this Easter break
Let’s be honest, when you hear the Easter holidays are here, your brain probably goes straight to two things: Chocolate and chilling, and fair enough you’ve worked hard this year so you deserve a break and a sweet treat.
But while you’re working your way through your third Easter egg, GCSE exams are getting closer. May might seem ages away but it will be hopping your way quicker than the Easter bunny!
The weeks leading up to those resit exams can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re balancing coursework, deadlines or even work commitments alongside your studies.
Easter sits right in the middle of it all, so a break from college could either stress you out later or set you up to smash it.
The good news? You don’t have to choose between chilling and being productive.
Over the Easter break, our three college campuses will be open for short GCSE revision sessions to help you use those two weeks off to give yourself the best possible chance to succeed.
Revision sessions for GCSE resit students
Over the Easter holidays, our tutors are giving up some of their own time off to help any learners who want to level up what they already know.
These focused revision sessions will help you revisit core topics, practise exam-style questions and sharpen your technique. Tutors will break down tricky concepts, helping you build understanding step by step so nothing feels out of reach.
So whether you need a quick confidence boost or in-depth support, there’s something here for you.

Why should you give up your Easter break to revise?
It’s easy to think “I’ll start revising later” but those small delays add up. Think of revision like your Easter chocolate stash:
- Cram it in all at once because you’ve left it until the last minute = overwhelming (and slightly sickening)
- Spread it out properly and do it a bit at a time = way more enjoyable
That’s exactly what our Easter revision sessions are here for, to help you keep things manageable, focused and actually useful. So instead of staring at your notes at home thinking “where do I even start?”, you can:
Get unstuck (fast)
Got topics that just won’t click? Our tutors break things down in a way that actually makes sense, so no more guessing or Googling for hours.
Boost your confidence
Whether it’s GCSE English or maths resits, a few short sessions can make a huge difference in how ready you feel.
Stay on track
It’s so easy to say “I’ll revise tomorrow”… and suddenly it’s the night before your exam. These sessions give you structure without being overwhelming.
Get real support
Ask questions, get feedback and actually understand what examiners are looking for, not just what’s in the textbook.
Future you will be very glad you showed up over Easter when you walk into that exam room feeling calm, prepared and confident.
Vocational students: Don’t fall behind now
If you’re not resitting your GCSE maths or English, it doesn’t mean you should just forget about college work for two weeks. Easter is the ideal time to ensure you’re staying on track and avoiding that last-minute scramble when deadlines hit.
A bit of extra focus now = way less stress later. So don’t sleep on the opportunity to get ahead if you can.
Use the break to check in with where you’re at with coursework. Are your assignments up to date? Is there anything you’ve been putting off? Do you have feedback you still need to act on?
If you do have work to do, break it down so it’s not overwhelming or taking over your entire Easter break. It’s not about doing hours every day. Even a couple of focused sessions over Easter can stop small tasks turning into big stress later.
Instead of thinking “I need to finish everything,” try setting a couple of small tasks each day or focusing on one assignment or unit at a time. Ticking things off as you go will make you feel better about things.
Remember to use what resources you’ve already got – you don’t need to reinvent the wheel! Start with your class notes, assignment briefs, tutor feedback or any online resources your tutor has already shared. If something didn’t quite make sense in class, now’s your chance to go over it at your own pace.
With that in mind, don’t ghost your tutors. Even over the break, support is still there. If you’re stuck, send a quick email or make a note of questions for when you’re back. Our tutors, support staff and resources are all here to help you every step of the way.
So yes, you can still chill!
We’re not saying revise 24/7 and forget fun exists. Actually, it’s the opposite.
Study smarter not harder. Build a realistic revision routine, do a few focused sessions when you’re feeling motivated, get the help you need to manage things like exam stress or anxiety, and then properly relax without that guilty “I should be revising” feeling.
That Easter egg will taste better when you’ve earned it.
