Welcome to the first of a new weekly blog concentrating on activities at the RNN group that tie in with our educational work across our campuses as well as our partnerships with employers and groups in the local community. Additionally, you can read feedback on and updates on sector news, as well as responses to proposals and ideas supporting our region and local communities.

This new ‘Principal’s Blog’ ties in with the launch of our new websites across our three colleges: Rotherham College, Dearne Valley College and North Notts College which support learners who have left school, adult learners, apprentices and degree-level learners.

These new websites include exciting new applications and information on career pathways, career options and live data on jobs available locally and regionally, as well as salary information. We have included learner feedback and testimonials throughout the sites and we hope you get a good feel for the courses available with these new-look websites.

We are fortunate that each campus has strengths in key course areas: Rotherham with the Arts, Media Make-up, Hospitality, Construction, Engineering, Business, IT and Esports, Dearne Valley with Animal Care and Land-Based studies, Sport and Public Services, Esports and sustainable automotive technology and finally North Notts – and Retford Post 16 Centre – with Digital Media, Public Services, Hair and Beauty, sustainable automotive technology, Education and Childcare services, Sport, Media Make-up, Health, Construction and Engineering. All of our college centres cater for English as a Second Language as well as maths and English GCSE support and re-takes.

You may know that the RNN Group is made up of these colleges and our purpose-built University Centre Rotherham (UCR) Campus. UCR is located in the centre of Rotherham offering degree and professional training qualifications. A new website will launch for this next week.

We also work in partnership with employers centring around apprenticeships, employer forums, adult training and commercial training opportunities too. We are proud to promote our subsidiary company the National Fluid Power Centre in Worksop, which has world-class facilities and is supported by in excess of 60 national and international companies, who form the NFPC Advisory and Strategic Planning Group.

We aim to lead innovation and skills in our communities and throughout the strategic partnerships we serve, our education and training will provide exceptional opportunities for people throughout their lives. Our Centres of Excellence will be inspirational and we will remain agile to the needs of our employers, stakeholders, schools and the community.

Our aim as a Group is to do this through fostering our core values of inclusion, integrity and delivering as one team.

Our focus is on education, employers and everyone who wants to work with us, as well as the near 1000 staff that currently do.

We hope you will enjoy our new websites and the information you will find on them. Watch this space for a new Group website in the Autumn which will focus on our employer partnerships and commercial opportunities within the group, both for learning and developing relationships with employers and our community, which are all fundamental to the RNN Group’s core purpose.[/vc_column_text][us_single_image image=”10475″ size=”full” align=”center” onclick=”lightbox”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
