Each recipient demonstrates our core values through their commitment to supporting learners, colleagues, and the wider community.
We Are Inclusive: Alan Badger
Alan’s commitment to inclusive practice is consistently evident in the way he supports learners and colleagues across the College. Working closely with Additional Learning Support (ALS), he ensures individual needs are met wherever possible, while also offering time and support to colleagues when needed.

“Alan, you always go above and beyond for learners and work closely with ALS to ensure all learners’ needs are being met as far as possible. You go the extra mile for us as staff too and are there to lend an ear if anyone needs support. Thank you for everything!”

We Deliver: Jonathan Green
Through proactive collaboration and a focus on impact, Jonathan has helped strengthen employer partnerships and raise the profile of RNN Group provision. His work with the NHS Proud to Care Hub has played a key role in securing inclusion in a regional training directory, supporting both visibility and progression into health sector careers.

Your work to secure Dearne Valley College’s inclusion in a regional training directory will help promote our provision, strengthen community partnerships, and support pathways into employment within the health sector.

We Have Integrity: Rachel Emberson
Outstanding feedback from a parent during a recent EHCP review highlighted the positive impact of Rachel Emberson’s support for a learner and their family. Her compassionate and professional approach continues to build trust and confidence in the support provided across the RNN Group.

“At a recent EHCP review, I received fantastic feedback regarding Rachel and the support she has been providing to a student. The parent shared that it was clear to both see and feel the genuine care Rachel puts into supporting her son. She said that Rachel ‘shone out’ among the staff working with him at his placement.
Rachel consistently goes above and beyond in her role, demonstrating the values we strive for across college. Her dedication not only supports positive outcomes for learners but also strengthens the confidence families have in the provision we offer.”

We Are One Team: Callum Shutt
A positive attitude and willingness to get involved helped make Callum Shutt’s contribution to the recent Rotherham College Open Event particularly valuable. His support helped create a welcoming environment for visitors and ensured the event ran smoothly throughout the day.

“Thank you so much for all your help at the Open Event on Saturday. Your assistance was invaluable. I know standing out in the rain wasn’t the most pleasant job, but the little bit of friendly competition we had definitely made welcoming visitors more bearable and fun!
A huge congratulations again on winning the ‘Most Sign-Ins’ on the day!”
