Specialist Industry Open Day draws over 300 to region
The National Fluid Power Centre (NFPC UK) held their annual ‘flagship’ industry Open Day, with exhibitions and technical lectures on Wednesday 17th February.
The event drew around 60 exhibitors and more than 350 visitors to the centre, which delivers specialist training in pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics and controls to companies across the UK and internationally.
The day included guided tours of the centres facilities with technical lectures presented by the industry experts. A dedicated ‘Exhibition Pavilion’ created networking opportunities for all exhibitors and visitors.
The event attracted attendees from all over the UK & Ireland as well as an exhibitor from as far afield as Niagara Falls in Canada.
The exhibitors displayed a range of specialised products including seals, valves, condition monitoring, filtration and coolant products, air blast coolers and hydraulic measurement and control equipment.
This year welcomed 17 new organisations, some came from newly developed links in the electronics and control industry who brought with them robotic displays and other examples of integrated systems.
The NFPC UK, world class leader in integrated systems engineering, is consistently supported by its Advisory and Strategic Planning Group consisting of over 50 major national and international companies and this event was no exception. Members supported the centre both as exhibitors and attendees on the day.
“This year’s event has once more ‘raised the bar’ and proved to be a huge success.” said John Savage, Director.
The 17th February was not only an outstanding day to promote the Education and Training provision of the UKs National Centre here at Worksop but the day when 50 National and International companies came together and exhibited the best of fluid power systems and control and associated services.
“This annual event is set to grow each year, supporting local industry and the economy as well as providing an international network linked to career developments.”
A representative from Hydrotechnik UK Ltd commented
“The open day presented us with the perfect networking opportunity allowing us to keep up to date with the latest products from within the hydraulics industry”
The NFPC UK is a unique industry lead facility and as the Centre moves forward with the changes in technology into the new world of integrated systems and control is ready to provide training solutions to meet the demands which industry places on organisation.
